What Airflow Accomplishes
Personnel Protection
Intake air rushing into the front half of the front grille prevents aerosols in the work area from escaping
Product Protection
HEPA filtered downflow air in the rear of the front grille prevents outside contaminants from entering the work space
Environmental Protection
All air leaving the BSC is HEPA filtered to prevent aerosols from escaping in the exhaust air
Disturbances in the airflow reduce the protection provided by the BSC, as demonstrated by the video clip
